This Privacy Policy describes how Metantel ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our applications (the "Service").
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or store unauthorized sensitive personal information in the cloud.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum amount of information necessary to provide the Service.
Personal Information
When you use the application, we may collect the following basic information to identify your account or personalize your experience:
- Name
- Email Address
We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as phone numbers, physical addresses, or financial information).
Early Access List
If you join our waitlist, we store the email address you give us, when you joined and which page you joined from. We use it only to tell you when your access is ready and to honour the early adopter discount described in our Terms of Service. We do not share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to the address below.
Workspace Content
When you connect repositories, documents, trackers or AI agent sessions to a Metantel project, we process and store that content to provide shared memory to you and the people you have given access to that project. We remove credentials we detect, such as keys and tokens, before storing it.
App-Generated and Consented Data
We collect data generated through your direct interaction with the application, as well as specific data you explicitly consent to provide, to enable personalization and cross-platform features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely for the purpose of operating the application. Specifically:
- To authenticate you and manage your account.
- To display your profile name within the application.
- To communicate with you regarding important updates or support requests.
- To securely sync your app-generated data across your devices and to personalize your in-app experience based on your usage and consented data.
We do not share your personal information with third parties.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we only email you about Metantel when you have asked us to.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Cloud Storage: Application-generated data, user-consented data and the workspace content you connect are stored securely in the cloud so your experience stays synchronised across your devices and your team. We do not collect unrelated files, contacts or browsing history.
- Security: We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.
4. Third-Party Services
This app does not use third-party advertising services or data brokers.
We may use standard third-party services for authentication or hosting (such as Google Firebase), which are subject to their own privacy policies.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
